INTRODUCTION. The final testimony to the Deity of Jesus Christ is the empty tomb-his resurrection. Early in his ministry Jesus had said, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up," speaking of the temple of his body (John 2:19, 21 ). The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the foundation of our faith, our assurance that He is the Son of God. "And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins ... But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept" (I Cor. 15: 17, 20).
