INTRODUCTION. On the day of Pentecost 3000 received the message of the apostles and were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:41). The believers then met daily in the temple to worship, and the Lord added daily to the church those who believed and obeyed the gospel message spoken by the apostles (Acts 2:42, 46-47). The apostles performed many signs and wonders causing fear (awe) to come upon the people (Acts 2:43).
