Lesson 180: The Preaching of Saul

INTRODUCTION. After Saul was baptized, he remained with the disciples in Damascus

and began to preach Jesus to the Jews in the synagogues. All who heard him were amazed, for they knew he was the one who had persecuted followers of Jesus. After a while the Jews plotted to kill him, but with the help of the disciples he escaped the city during the night. Saul then went to Jerusalem, but the disciples there were afraid of him. They did not believe that he was now a disciple of Jesus. Barnabas, however, took him to the apostles and told them how Saul had seen the Lord on the road to Damascus, that the Lord had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly in Damascus.
