Lesson 320: THE BIRTH OF JESUS

INTRODUCTION. "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his

Son, made of a woman, made under the law" (Gal. 4:4). God's plan for the salvation

of man continues to unfold as the birth of his Son takes place.


"When the fulness of the time was come"–the time was right. Daniel had prophesied

of four world kingdoms in Daniel 2 and 7. In the days of the fourth world kingdom,

the God of heaven would "set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed..."

(Dan. 2:44). The fourth world kingdom, the Roman Empire, was ruling the world. It

was time for God's everlasting kingdom to be revealed.


"God sent forth his Son, made of a woman"–the seed of woman was prophesied in

Gen. 3:15. It was time for God to send forth his Son, the Savior, the seed of woman.
